Join us for this special screening of The Sound of Music where you will become the stars and do-re-mi until you can do-re-mi no more! Wave your edelweiss and dress up in a nun’s outfit or as Ray, a drop of golden sun.
This is The Port Theatre’s ‘Call to Action’ for everyone who knows and loves Julie Andrews or The Sound of Music - or just knows all the words - and, really, who doesn’t?

Picture yourselves on the hills of Austria and join us for this unique event with audience participation to the fullest. Your show starts with a pre-show vocal warm up where you will receive your fun packs and learn all appropriate actions and crazy antics. You will then be treated to the screening of the classic Julie Andrews film musical in glorious, full-screen technicolor, complete with subtitles so that you can sing along.

The screening will include a famous “fancy-dress” competition in which everyone who arrives in costume is invited onto the stage to show off his or her fantastic tailoring skills.  (This is not mandatory - but encouraged. Besides, what were you going to do with those old curtains anyway?).
