Head Electrician

The Port Theatre is a municipally owned facility operated by The Port Theatre Society. Its mandate is to stimulate and enhance artistic, cultural and economic activity in the Central Vancouver Island region.

The candidate will show demonstrated proficiency in these key areas of technical theatre.

• Complete knowledge of professional Lighting Systems
• Demonstrated experience working with LX Plots
• Performing as Dept. Head in LX and other depts. as required
• Maintaining safety standards in the theatre at all times    
• Performing building maintenance as required
• Acting as a resource for the Port Theatre and its’ clients
• Keeping abreast of present and new trends / practices, in the industry.
• FE Certification would be an asset
• Working knowledge of  other theatrical systems i.e.

                         (Audio systems fly and rigging systems would be an asset)
