A STUDIO THEATRE

The next phase of The Port Theatre's development!

In 1995, The Studio Theatre/Rehearsal Hall was postponed so as not to

financially compromise completion of the larger performance hall. Since opening in 1998,

our community rental clients have expressed the need for this enhanced performance

space in ever increasing numbers. The newly completed design for the Studio Theatre

will flow seamlessly with the overall aesthetics and complement the daily operations of

our current theatre. We encourage you to view the model on display in the lobby.

The Design includes:

>Flat floor Studio Theatre fully equipped with lighting and sound for use in theatre, music, dance and trade shows
>Flexible seating for 90-150
>Public washrooms for south side of building on two levels to serve existing main theatre and the new studio theatre
>Lobby space for studio theatre including satellite ticket booth, concessions bar and audience services area
>Fully equipped dressing rooms with showers and toilets
>Much needed equipment storage space for both theatres
>Freight elevator from loading dock level to Studio Theatre Level
Cover for the loading dock to protect valuable equipment and sets from inclement weather while being unloaded
>Office space for visiting Production staff and resident Technicians
>Catering kitchen & concession storage
>Flexible meeting room
