Dear Patrons,

The Port Theatre Society and other theatre venues on Vancouver Island have been closely monitoring recent updates on the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The health and safety of the public, staff, volunteers and artists are our top priority.

The Port Theatre is a city-owned facility; therefore, The Port Theatre Society is following the protocols set out by The City of Nanaimo. As of today (March 12, 2020), city-owned facilities are open and running as scheduled. This means shows are going ahead as planned. If a show is postponed or cancelled that you’ve purchased tickets for, you will receive an email.

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Please follow the recommendations set out by the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), especially washing your hands often with soap and water.
  • If you are unwell, please stay home and contact the Public Health Agency of Canada at 1-833-784-4397 or HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 to speak to someone regarding COVID-19.

BAR SERVICE & CONCESSION

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), The Port Theatre is taking proactive measures by closing its bar service and concession in order to minimize health risks.

REFUND POLICY

The Port Theatre is a rental facility; therefore, the Ticket Centre is handling each performance on a show-by-show basis while working closely with promoters, artists and community groups. We will keep you informed based on the decisions of these clients.

MOST IMPORTANTLY

During these times, it’s most important to be safe and do what’s best for you and your family. Please take necessary precautions and get the most up-to-date information and resources related to COVID-19 from the BC Centre for Disease Control’s (BCCDC) website. http://www.bccdc.ca/

If anything changes related to a concert you have tickets for—you will receive an email. Thank you.

Sincerely,

The Port Theatre Society
