The Island Chamber Players are a chamber music collective of Vancouver Island musicians who share the common aim of performing great works in the chamber repertoire at the highest level. Flexibility is a key component of their ensemble and the newly formed group plays their melodic shape to fit the requirement of the music they perform.
The Island Notes Chamber Music Festival (formerly known as the Vancouver Island Chamber Music Festival) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The vision of the Island Notes Chamber Music Festival is to present a multi-day world-class festival of chamber music for the Vancouver Island area performed by local, and regional artists. Presented in intimate settings in the City of Nanaimo, featuring diverse instrumentation and repertoire, both historical and contemporary, along with a commitment to presenting Canadian works.
