Tiller's Folly
Drawing inspiration from the deep roots of folk and Celtic music, Tiller's Folly weaves together a tapestry of sound that pays homage to their heritage while embracing contemporary influences. Their eclectic fusion of traditional folk, Celtic, Americana and bluegrass elements creates a distinctive sound that is both timeless and refreshing.
They are led by ISSA (International Singer Songwriter Association) top male vocalist (2024) Bruce Coughlan, whose soulful vocal, captivating stage presence and fine crafted songwriting breathe life into every performance. Band members (International Bluegrass Association world champion) Nolan Murray and producer bass player Laurence Knight contribute their unique instrumental prowess and add stirring melodies and wizardry to driving rhythms and soul-stirring harmonies. They combine exceptional musicianship with an unwavering commitment to authenticity.
Tiller's Folly is a national treasure." Peter North, Edmonton Journal
“Speyfest audiences have grown to expect the very best Celtic music around and
they were served ample portions from Tiller’s Folly…The band are all masters in their own right and their music and audience rapport earned them the sheer adulation of the Celtic music lovers at Speyfest.”
James Alexander/Artistic, Director of Speyfest, Fochabars, Scotland
