As the Port Theatre prepares for re-opening, we’re inviting a casual, part-time Assistant House Manager to join our team.
We’re looking for someone with flexibility in their schedule as most of the working hours will be in the evenings and weekends but with some daytime hours required. Total hours of work will vary from 0 to 35 per week depending on the theatre’s activity level. There will be a guarantee of 20 hours per week during the 8-week probation period for training in computer systems, procedures, and COVID-19 protocols.
The probationary period working hours will be during regular business hours. We anticipate the Assistant House Manager hours will increase in September. This position reports directly to the Senior House Manager.
The ideal candidate will have experience in house management and audience services for live events.
Experience managing volunteers and concession staff will be an asset.
