About Andrew Allen
With two Top 10 Christmas songs, Andrew Allen brings his festive and charismatic live performance to the stage to evoke all the holiday feelings. With new takes on classic holiday songs, a spattering of original material (for those that need a breather from all that Christmas joy), and a handful of heartwarming stories, Andrew’s annual holiday show is bound to bring out all the Christmas emotions and get you into that seasonal spirit. For many, this is the show that starts the holidays.
Andrew is joined by The Port Theatre Youth Choir with Lindsay Suddaby to further promote collaboration and community throughout this cozy time of year!
About Lindsay Suddaby
Lindsay Suddaby grew up singing in choirs in Nanaimo, and developed a passion for the expressive capacity of the human voice. She has completed two terms at the Randolph Academy of Performing Arts in Toronto and a Bachelor of Music in Voice from the University of Victoria. She also has extensive choral experience, including as assistant director of the Nanaimo Youth Choir, membership in the National Youth Choir of Canada, and completing the BC Choral Federation’s Choral Directorship Course. In recent years she attended The LoVetri Institute for Somatic Voicework™ and completed all three levels of certifications. Lindsay loves to help people find their voice, discover freedom in their technique, and encounter new musical insights – whether in private singing lessons or in a choir.
Information
Please note participating youth must be between the ages of 9-17.
Rehearsals will take place at the Port Theatre under the direction of Lindsay Suddaby.
- 3:30pm to 5:00pm on November 13, 20, 27 and December 4 & 11.
- Final evening rehearsal with Andrew Allen December 20th
- Performance with Andrew Allen: ALL HEARTS COME HOME as part of The Spotlight Series on December 21st at 7:30pm
Registration
You must register your child for the Port Theatre Youth Choir in order to participate.
Fees will be collected through our Ticket Centre. (This is not a ticket to the performance and must be purchased separately)
You will receive an email receipt from the Port Theatre followed by a second e-mail with a mandatory registration form for your child’s participation in the choir.
If you are registering multiple children, each child must be registered separately.
