A classical pianist with a wry wit, Sarah Hagen enjoys a rich and diverse concertizing life across Canada and internationally, including twice to New York City’s Carnegie Hall. Highlights of recent seasons include solo sets at Expo in Osaka, Tønder Festival in Denmark, Cambridge Folk Festival, and Mariposa Folk Festival and tours throughout Sweden, the UK, and the USA. Her interpretations have been described as "outstandingly inventive,” “played flawlessly,” and “with great sensitivity and heart.”

Sarah has released four albums. Her most recent recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations was described by Whole Note magazine as “something to absolutely die for” and was the recipient of two Music PEI awards and two ECMA nominations. She is the recipient of Music PEI’s 2025 Award for Achievement in Classical Music. Awarded as Artist of the Year by Ontario Contact and the BC Touring Council, Sarah brings to the stage her unique combination of piano and humour.
