France, WWI. Canadian VAD nurse Vallance Maguire searches for her brother, missing in action. A unique friendship develops with fellow Canadian, Bandmaster Captain Gabriel Arnott, who vows to help Vallance in her search. As musical clues lead to the truth of her brother’s disappearance, the Spanish Flu threatens to overwhelm the war effort. With soaring melodies and poignant revelations, Meadows of Stone captures the moving story of those caught up in world conflict: of resilience, of camaraderie, loss and love for two Canadians who experience the most exciting chapter in their lives when they least expect it. Inspired by true events. Suitable for all ages.

Inspiration for the show came from a true Canadian story of a woman who left Newfoundland to search for her brother, a man who went missing while fighting in Europe in World War I.

“Wow! What an incredible showcase. I loved the storytelling and the music. Amy has a beautiful singing voice. True musical theatre pipes. She is truly a tour de force! And the historical component is well integrated and interesting. It was a joy watching Amy’s talented partner, Jim Hodgkinson, too. They are lovely together. An outstanding performance.” - Sarah Rodgers, Artistic Director, United Players, Vancouver
